Have You Ever Been in This Situation?

You're sitting in the waiting room and the guy behind the counter slides a list of repairs across to you. You're nodding. Smiling. But inside you're panicking, because you have no idea if any of it is real or if you're about to hand over hundreds of dollars you never needed to spend.

Or maybe this sounds familiar,

You're on the side of the road with a flat, already reaching for your phone to call someone, because you've never actually changed a tire yourself and you're honestly not sure you could lift it.

A dashboard light comes on out of nowhere and your stomach drops, because you can't tell if it's safe to keep driving or if you're about to be stranded somewhere alone.

You got quoted something that felt off, but you didn't know enough to push back, so you just said yes and hoped for the best.

It's not your fault. Nobody ever taught you these things. There was always someone else who handled it, or no one ever took the time to show you in a way that actually made sense.

It's not that you can't do this. No one has ever stood beside you and walked you through it, with your own car, until it clicked.

That's exactly what this workshop is. Two days, all women, real hands-on practice, until you've done it yourself and you know you can.

Imagine being able to...

LEARN:

  • How to check your car's vital signs before problems get expensive
  • Basic maintenance that saves you hundreds
  • Exactly what questions to ask mechanics so they take you seriously
  • Practical skills you can use immediately

EXPERIENCE:

  • Step-by-step demonstrations of every skill
  • Hands-on practice with real vehicles (including your own!)
  • Immediate answers to your questions as they come up
  • Walking into any auto shop without fear

ALL IN AN ENVIRONMENT:

  • Where there's no such thing as a dumb question
  • Surrounded by other women learning the exact same things
  • Where you can ask anything without feeling judged or embarrassed
  • Where being new is the whole point, not a problem

Introducing

Women's Car Care 101's Hands-On Workshop

Two days of practical car knowledge

where women can learn car care

in a supportive space designed just for them.

What Your Two Days Look Like

Two days, your own car in front of you the whole time. You'll watch me walk through each skill first, then do it yourself with help right beside you. By the end you won't just know about this stuff. You'll have done it with your own hands, and that's the part that sticks.

Day One. Getting Comfortable With Your Car (9:00am - 4:00pm)

We start with the basics every woman should know and build from there. No rushing, no assuming you already know anything.

  • Arrival and introductions
  • What your car needs and when: getting familiar with your owner's manual and maintenance schedule
  • Tires: checking pressure and tread the right way
  • Under the hood: every fluid, what it does, how to check it yourself
  • Battery basics: starting the hands-on work if time allows
  • Open Q&A: every question is welcome

Day Two. The Skills That Keep You Safe (9:00am - 3:00pm)

Day two is where it clicks together. You put your hands on the skills that keep you safe and save you the most money.

  • Battery work: cleaning terminals, safely removing and installing a battery, jump starting your own car
  • Spare tire: changing and installing one start to finish
  • Small repairs worth doing yourself: filters, wiper blades, bulbs, fuses
  • Working with mechanics: the questions to ask, the red flags to catch, how to find a shop you trust
  • Final Q&A and next steps: there's no such thing as a dumb question, and you leave with a plan, not just a page of notes

Because the group is small, we move at your pace. The exact order can shift, and some of day two might happen on day one if we're flowing. You'll get it all either way.

Here's what one woman who completed the hands-on workshop said...

Why Women Only

Most of us didn't grow up being handed the wrench.

We didn't get the Saturday afternoons in the garage, or the patient someone who walked us through it the way a lot of men did.

And somewhere along the way we picked up the idea that cars just aren't our thing.

That was never true.

You were just never taught.

And most times you've tried to learn since, there was a good chance someone talked over your head, made you feel small, or rushed you before it could sink in.

This room is the opposite of that.

No man explaining something in a tone saying you should already know this.

No eye rolls.

No competition.

Just women learning together, at a pace that respects that you're smart and brand new at the same time.

I've built a community of more than 500,000 women who are done feeling like their car is someone else's department.

This workshop is that same thing, just smaller, closer, and finally in person.

It's amazing what you'll try when nobody's standing there waiting to see if you get it wrong.

Here's What You'll Actually Learn and Do

You'll watch me do each skill on my own car first.

Then you'll do it on yours, with me right beside you and a workbook in your hands that you get to keep.

The point isn't to turn you into a mechanic. It's so you know how, and you have the option to do it yourself, instead of having to rely on someone else.

Day 1: Car Confidence Foundation

Building knowledge and breaking down barriers

Day one is where the fear lifts. We start slow, not assuming you already know anything, and by the end you know your way around your own car.

  • Read your owner's manual and maintenance schedule
    • So you finally know what your car actually needs and what it should cost, and you stop authorizing service you never needed just because you didn't know any better.
  • Pop your hood and identify every fluid
    • Check your own levels in minutes instead of paying someone, so you're not standing at the counter trusting a stranger to tell you what's really wrong.
  • Tire pressure and tread, done right
    • That light that goes off and makes you wonder if you should pull over or end up stranded, you'll know. Low pressure and worn tread are what leave women stranded alone, and you'll catch it first.
  • Battery basics and jump starting
    • So a dead battery is something you handle yourself, not the moment you freeze and wait on a man to come save you.

By the end of day one, you don't know what you don't know anymore. You look under your own hood and feel calm instead of clueless.

Day 2: Practical Skills & Peace of Mind

Learn what you can handle & how to get help when you need it

Day two is where it clicks. This is the day you stop having to rely on your dad, your husband, or a mechanic you're not sure you can trust. You'll do the things that used to mean a phone call and a wait, and you'll learn to walk into any shop and hold your ground.

  • Change and install a spare tire, start to finish
    • The lifting and all, even if you've never been sure you were strong enough. So a flat on the road is an inconvenience, not that sense of danger of being stranded alone.
  • The small repairs shops mark up the most
    • Filters, wiper blades, bulbs, fuses. The thirty-dollar jobs they quote you hundreds for, that you'll walk away able to do yourself.
  • How to talk to a mechanic
    • The exact questions to ask and the red flags to spot, so you can tell when a shop is being honest and never again nod along worried you're being taken advantage of because you're a woman.
  • Know what you can handle and when to get help
    • So you stop guessing whether it's a small problem or a dangerous one, and you only pay a shop for what actually needs a shop.

By the time you drive home, you won't just know about your car. You'll have done it with your own two hands, and no one can make you feel small about it again.

You'll learn all of it in a small group of women, where the only goal is to learn.
You'll ask every question you've been too embarrassed to ask anywhere else.
And you'll leave with a workbook that walks you back through every skill,
so you never have to hold it all in your head alone.

Your Instructor

Hi, I'm Meg!

I walked into my first car class in high school as one of two women in the room. I felt completely out of place, but I stayed. I remember thinking, "If I'm going to be driving a car for the rest of my life, I might as well know how it works."

Since then I've worked in dealerships, independent shops, and on professional race teams. While working as a full-time mechanical engineer over the last few years I've also been building a community of 500,000+ women who are done feeling like their car is someone else's department.

But over those years, I kept hearing the same things from women.

"I don't know what to say when I take it in. I don't want to look stupid."

"I'm constantly worried that I'm just being overcharged and I have no idea what to even look for."

"I had NO idea what to do when my car wouldn't start when I went to pick up my kids from school. I just froze"

And here is the thing, it's not your fault.

Either no ever took the time just explain things in a way that made sense to you.

Or there was always just someone else that handled it.

But what happens when that person isn't there? When you are three hours into a road trip and you get a flat tire and the only people around are at a gas station full of strangers? Or when you walk into a shop alone and someone hands you a list of repairs you have no way to verify?

That is exactly why I created this workshop.

A real, hands-on, in-person experience where you show up with YOUR vehicle, get actual time practicing the skills, and ask every question you have been too embarrassed to ask anywhere else.

You will leave knowing what to do when it actually matters.

My Promise to You

If you show up to the two days with me and don't walk away feeling more confident and capable with your car, I'll refund you in full. No hard feelings, no hoops, no worries.

That's how sure I am about what these two days will do for you. The only risk is staying exactly where you are.

You're welcome to transfer your spot to a friend or gift it to someone.

P.S. Change your mind before we even begin? You can request a full refund anytime up until five days before the workshop.

What to Expect and What to Bring

Here's exactly how the two days run, so you can show up relaxed and ready.

When: Saturday, June 27, 9am to 4pm, and Sunday, June 28, 9am to around 2 or 3pm. We break for lunch around 12:30.

Where: Ghost Face Brewing in downtown Mooresville. We're in the parking lot by the Beer Lab, the building right next door. There will be signs, and I'll have spots saved for us, so just pull in and look for the group.

Beer Lab by Ghostface Brewing
225 S Broad Street
Mooresville, NC 28115

How it works: I demonstrate each skill on my car first. Then you practice on your own vehicle, with me and the group right there for support. No experience needed. We're all learning together.

Lunch: We break for about an hour around 12:30. Bring your own, or grab something right there. The brewery pizza is genuinely my favorite, so come hungry.

What to bring:

  • Your own car, ideally the one you want to get comfortable working on
  • Your owner's manual (it lives in the glovebox of most cars)
  • Closed-toe shoes (non-negotiable for hands-on work)
  • Safety glasses
  • Gloves, if you'd rather not get your hands dirty
  • Water and sunscreen, since we're working outside
  • A small set of tools every car owner should have for emergencies, basic repairs, and basic maintenance. I'll send the full simple list when you register, so you have time to gather it. Nothing on it needs to be bought new.

A few good things to know:

  • We work outside, so we go rain or shine. We start inside with introductions and Q&A and use the indoor space whenever we gather.
  • If the weather turns truly rough, I'll be in touch.
  • Restrooms are onsite.
  • Everything on your list is yours to keep and use for life. I'm not handing you tools for the day. I'm helping you become the woman who has her own.

Your Spot in One of the Very First Women's Car Care Workshops

This is one of the very first ones I've ever run in person.

Just five seats, which means you'd be one of the first women to ever do this with me face to face. That matters.

You help shape what we cover, and you get more of my time and attention than anyone who comes later ever will.

As these grow and fill, the price goes up. The women in this early room get in at the ground floor.

Ask any of the 500,000 women who follow me and they'll tell you the same thing.

This is exactly the kind of hands-on, in-person help they've been wishing existed. And you get access to everything the moment you sign up.

You can start working through the online course at your own pace, with no rush to finish before the workshop.

Come with whatever questions come up, and you keep lifetime access long after the two days are over.

Frequently Asked Questions

After These Two Days You'll Feel

Confidence

You walk into any shop knowing exactly what your car needs and what it doesn't. When someone slides a list of repairs across the counter, you can tell an honest recommendation from an upsell, because you already know the answer before they say it.

Clarity

You pop your own hood without that blank where-do-I-even-look feeling. You find every fluid, you know what each one does, and you can check your own levels in a few minutes.

Independence

You jump start your own car. You install your own spare tire. You are never again the woman stranded on the shoulder, reaching for her phone, waiting on someone else to come save the day.

Peace of Mind

A dashboard light comes on and you stay calm, because you know how to tell what's urgent from what can wait. No more pit in your stomach. No more panic Googling in a parking lot.

Money Back in Your Pocket

You stop paying for things you never needed. Women pay hundreds more every year than men for the same repairs, and over the life of one car that quietly adds up to thousands. You keep that money now, because you know better.

Belonging

You learn all of it in a room full of women, at a pace that actually makes sense, where there's no such thing as a dumb question and no one ever makes you feel small for not knowing something you were never taught.

You don't need to be a mechanic to feel confident and capable when it comes to taking care of your car. This hands-on workshop makes sure you never have to worry about that helpless feeling again.
